The SPEAC project was invited at the Anniversary of the Hangzhou Quality and Safety Public Service Platform. The Platform is a multi-stakeholder initiative of Hangzhou Municipality, Hangzhou Customs, and a plurality of further institutional and economic stakeholders to control import and export of consumer goods traded through e-commerce.

The presentation was delivered in Chinese by SPEAC communication expert Liu Yan, to introduce the EU requirements for product safety, consumer protection and market surveillance. A SPEAC greeting note in Chinese was recorded by SPEAC team leader Gerhard Weihs.

About 50 participants on site and 1000 audiences through the platform website (www.e-box.org.cn) watched the event. The SPEAC project and the presentation was reported in the news on the event by 12 media including Hangzhou TV, IFENG (PhoenixNet), etc.
