On April 11th, the SPEAC Project conducted a half-day training in Hangzhou, in collaboration with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Alibaba. The training aimed to familiarise Chinese participants, including sellers from AliExpress and Alibaba employees, with consumer product safety regulations in the European Union and the United States with a focus towards the e-commerce sector.

Liu Kaiming, SPEAC’s Key Expert, provided an overview of the project and its IT tools, and introduced EU requirements for children’s clothing, toys, in online selling. The training demonstrated the SPEAC Project’s dedication to promoting the safety of products and safeguarding consumers through international cooperation.
