SPEAC Training on “Key Responsibilities for Chinese Toy Manufacturers Selling to the EU Market” organized on 14 January 2021

In cooperation with the China Toys and Juvenile Products Association (CTJPA), the 4th online training of the training series on “EU Product Safety Rules for Toys and Juvenile Products”, was successfully conducted on 14 January 2021.

Two senior EU experts on market surveillance and product safety delivered presentations on the EU toy safety requirements, manufacturers’ key responsibilities, a practical approach to conformity assessment, and shared their experiences on market surveillance. With the supports of officials from EU DG JUST and DG GROW, the experts answered 13 questions collected from the audiences online.

230 participants from toy and juvenile products enterprises and institutions joined the training. According to the survey during the training, 88% thought the training was very useful for their daily work, and for 11% it was partly useful.

A training certificate, jointly issued by SPEAC and CTJPA, and the presentation PPT were provided after the training, the training video with post-production is published on the “Recorded Training Events” of the SPEAC website (link).

A next training with CTJPA will be organized tentatively after the Chinese Lunar New Year. See you soon!
