SPEAC Reinforces Cooperation with Local Partners in Guangdong to Assist Chinese Companies in Accessing EU Standards.

On May 22nd and 23rd, the SPEAC team held a series of meetings in Guangdong with local partners to explore cooperation opportunities to better inform Chinese companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), about EU standards. The partners in attendance included the Shenzhen Institute of Standardization and Technology (SIST), the Shenzhen Association of Standardization (SAS), IMPAQ, and EMTEK.

All the Chinese stakeholders we met this time have expressed great appreciation for the crucial role that SPEAC IT Tools have played. These tools have presented a significant opportunity for the local players in China, particularly the SMEs. By using a single website, they can obtain all the necessary basic information in the Chinese language to export safe products to the EU.

Mr Gianluca Ghiara, the Team Leader of SPEAC II, expressed gratitude to every partner for their support of the project during the meetings and shared the latest plans for future training activities.

These meetings demonstrated a continuously strong demand from Chinese stakeholders for EU market standards in an easily accessible format and available in the Chinese language; this is an area where SPEAC’s tools and platforms represent a great added value for Chinese stakeholders.
