Amazon China organized a global webinar, titled as “PPE safety compliance management” in cooperation with, the China Association for Consumer Products Quality and Safety Promotion, the China Union of PPE, the EU funded SPEAC project, and TÜV SÜD on 23 September 2022. Nearly 4,000 participants, mainly manufacturers and online sellers attended. Ms. Orsolya CSORBA, counsellor at the Delegation of the European Union to China delivered opening remarks, SPEAC senior expert Dr. DENG Yun presented the EU perspective on PPE safety compliance.
Following the “Global Luminaires Safety Compliance Management Summit” in this July and the “Cosmetics Export Compliance Webinar” in August, this webinar is the 7th Amazon event supported by SPEAC project. These events are a series of compliance trainings developed by Amazon China for online sellers, mainly covering the product categories with major safety problems and EU rules with and high attention in the EU on the online market recently. SPEAC project experts were invited to the webinars on toys, childcare articles, luminaires, cosmetics, furniture, PPE, as well as the EU Goods Package & EPR requirements, to analyze main safety issues found in the EU market, present applicable EU regulations and requirements, and share practical tools and advices. More than 9,000 participants in total followed these SPEAC presentations.
