From 28th to 31st July 2023, the SPEAC team participated in 2023 China (Ningbo) International Household Appliances Expo.
The expo witnessed an impressive turnout, with nearly 400 home appliance enterprises showcasing their latest products as exhibitors. The spotlight was on small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) exporting their products towards the EU and USA.
During the expo, the SPEAC team had the opportunity to present the SPEAC project and introduce the EU requirements on household appliances.
In addition, the SPEAC team held a series of meetings with Chinese stakeholders, with a particular focus on those in the e-commerce sector. Among others, we met with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade  (CCPIT) Ningbo Branch, TEMU, KWAI – a social video network application, SHOPTOP – a website building solution provider, CVC Testing company, Lixun Testing company, Shopee – an e-commerce platform active in Southeast Asia, the Ningbo Designer’s Alliance of Industrial Products, and the Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Association (NCEA). All expressed a keen interest in the SPEAC initiative and willingness to explore potential collaborations with the project.
