On March 26th, 2024, SPEAC and Research Center of GACC for International Inspection and Quarantine Standards and Technical Regulations (STRRC) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), aiming to enhance product safety awareness by offering joint training programs for stakeholders involved in the manufacturing and cross-border sale of non-food consumer products.
SPEAC and the STRRC have organised a series of joint training workshops for Chinese stakeholders on EU product safety rules.
The workshops have been focusing on multiple relevant sectors such as textile, footwear, small home appliances, toys and electrical products.
On April 11th, the SPEAC Project organised its Annual Forum in Hangzhou, featuring a comprehensive half-day training session in collaboration with the GACC International Inspection
The Train the Trainers program, organised by SPEAC and the STRRC offers Chinese Customs officials the latest updates on EU regulatory developments related to consumer product safety, as well as guidance on implementing enforcement activities. The program includes interactive sessions designed to promote practical learning and active participation, following the “learn by doing” approach.
