On March 28th, the SPEAC Project and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) conducted a full-day training in Shenzhen. The training focused on informing Chinese participants about the latest product safety rules for children’s products in the European Union and the United States. The training received significant attention and participation from both online and offline attendees.
Ms. Pinuccia Contino, the Deputy Director of Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) of the European Commission, and Mr. Richard O’Brien, the Director of Office of International Programs at U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, delivered opening remarks for the training.
The training provided an opportunity for experts from the European Union, the United States, and China to reaffirm the significance of product safety and the importance for all Chinese companies to follow laws while exporting to Europe and the US. This event highlights the dedication of the SPEAC project in strengthening product safety standards to ensure consumers’ protection.
